THE AIDS CRISIS IS NOT OVER

THINK AGAIN launched its first street action on December 1, 1997 -- World AIDS Day. In response to the media's virtual silence on AIDS and HIV, we commandeered the front page of the Boston Globe and Herald Examiner and pasted THE AIDS CRISIS IS NOT OVER on top of the day's headlines and reinserted the altered newspapers back into the stands. THINK AGAIN volunteers raided newspaper stands throughout Boston and affixed the replacement headline over hundreds of mastheads. Our headline invoked the famous graphic by Little Elvis a decade earlier.
