This postcard was a response to the cancelling of the sitcom "Ellen," shortly after Ellen Degeneres came out as a lesbian. The cards were mailed to TV executives. The back of the postcard reads:

Dear Television Executive,

Thank you for your efforts to include queers on TV. You've got our attention, but we've noticed that when a lesbian played a lesbian she got kicked off the air and that you only cast straight actors in queer roles. We noticed that you restate vicious stereotypes in the name of "gay chic" and that queers have become the joke du jour. Can you imagine queers as the subject of your shows, instead of the object of your jokes?
